who thinks that girls cant become mechatronic engineers just because girls are girls and are apparently "not interested"?

Go for it, I know of a number of girls in my Aeronautical Engineering course, I'm sure they also exist (well I've heard a rumour or two that they do) in Mechatronics.

mechanical is making machines and mechatronics is the electronic side of mechanical where u make robots etc... i guess its onli if u like constructing stuff but that goes with all engineering

Mechatronic Engineering incorporates deciplines from
-Computer Engineeering
-Electrical Engineering
-Mechanical Engineering

so its a good mix of all three engineering courses.

the way i see it is, if u complete the mechatronics course you will have a sound understnading of all 3 engineering courses and so can enter any of the 3 fields after uni.

admittadly u wont be as well a trained as someone who did that courses singularly, but it opens doors..

the main job aspects are robots of all kinds, manufacturing lines etc

im sure some girls are interested. Even despite the lack of spatial awareness

i think it would be good for girls to do it... if they've got an interest in it, i say for it !!!

On average, girls have less spatial awareness than males, which would put them at a disadvantage for engineering.

I also said that some girls should do eng... nothing to stop them... yet *evil grin*

Bite me!

Girls who want to do engineering aren't likely to be lacking in spatial awareness, are we?!!
And I'm sure we can do a much better job than you can.
