Ok I really went bad in these...I think for math I will get about 40-55%...english about 50%. I do both advanced. Should I drop down?

i guess it partly depends on how u rank in the school.. if ur pretty low, then i guess it'd be better to drop since i think u'd get scaled worse or scaled up very little compared to other candidates..
that's wut i think atleast.. but if ur doing average i'd definitely keep advanced cuz i can't stand doing standard.. get marked down quite a bit..~

Ok. I will keep math even if I am below average...ask parents if I can get a tutor. English...well I have never been great at it.

Yeah find out your ranks first. And get your actual results back/chat with teachers about them. They'll give you better advice than anyone on here will.

yea.. tutors reali help, as long as u don't get too much of it.. cuz at the end, u spend too much time doing their practice work u dun hav time to do school work and study.. (if that's what you do).. and if u don't study and do ur hw, maybe u should start =) not that i'm implying u rn't, cuz i did reali bad in my english 2U half yearly eventhough i did al my work hehe.. but also reflected when i slacked off and didn't do some of my math hw and got a worse grade than last yr..

From what I can gather, advanced is a hell of a lot more fun, if simply more work. More fun simply because we study better texts. The course gets frustrating come exam time, because essays are marked on silly criteria. Just put in the time and you'll get through it.

Grab an essay tutor for advanced if you're keen aswell. Could be a lot of help.

Well i got 16/20 for my english essay on John Donne, feminist and new critics reading...quite good for me, but I used the hsc excel book. The night before the exam I completely freaked out, and I just couldnt study it. This is happening with all my exams...I cant study because I am so stressed,

when you get your exams back just learn from your mistakes. Ask your teacher what you could do to get those extra 4 marks if there aren't comments on them. And for maths, just look at the solutions to see what you did wrong
