Ok, i so badly want to use rhetorical questions in my essay, and ive seen em in band 6 and exemplary responses, but my english teacher forbids them, well in essay form at least.

What are your thoughts???

I'd say they are more suited to speeches. You run the risk of confusing your tone and purpose by including them, but if you feel you've got a solid grip on the module and can confidently insert them seamlessly, go for broke.

Ok in feature articles, and speeches etc.

I know i wouldn' try, but why not include one in your conclusion.

Eg Module A "In the Wild"

Humanities destrucution of nature implies the alienation of humanity from nature. What will happen if humanity continues on this path of destruction?

Pretty bad example, but i think you get the jist of it. I don't see how that could hurt the essay.
