Situated in South Yarra, but willing to drive to your place to teach or for students to come to me.
I teach all levels of English, Modern and Ancient History, but specialise in Year 11 and 12. I have 7 years experience, and have achieved consistently outstanding results for all my students, with a majority of my students achieving marks in the 90's or high 80's.
Tutoring skills:
- Familiarity with VCE requirements.
- Familiarity with prescribed texts and can suggest related texts.
- Teaching oral presentation skills, essay writing, responding to source material, unseen texts and comprehension, producing high quality creative writing pieces, recognising language techniques and generally being able to communicate articulately in a wide range of forms.
I have achieved high results in my school and university studies:
- I maintained a distinction average at law school.
- Achieved a first in Greek History and Shakespeare on the Stage courses in my Arts degree.
- An ATAR of 99.30 with all my subject results in the high 90's (subjects included Advanced English, English Extension 1, Modern History, Ancient History, Extension History and Chemistry).
However, I am a dedicated, professional tutor, and will put in hours outside of the lesson to ensure that my students are being given the best possible material.
