Hi there,

just wondering if anyone has any really good belonging texts that i could do my (advanced) english essay to?

Even a movie that includes the subject of belonging predominantly.

I would recommend you have a look at Refugee Blues by WH Auden.

it's a great belonging text because it explores the concept of alienation by being a foreigner and in this case an immigrant. What's beautiful about this poem is that it uses a lot of imagery and the environment to reflect the emotions you feel from the persona being rejected from where he is trying to fit in. In summary, This poem shows the difficulties of belonging.
