English Q + 3U maths Question

If Adv. and Stnd. English scale the same, what's the point of doing Adv if it gives you no extra benefit, just a lot more work?

Using SAM and alternating between Eng(Adv) and Eng(Std), I'm actually getting an extra .5 UAI when doing standard. Explain please?

Also, what criteria would someone use to know when to drop 3u maths?

It's harder to get a higher mark in standard english than advanced english. someone correct me if im wrong but it was only reported that 2 people got band six results in standard english last year. It's not more work, u still get the AOS + 3 Modules. The texts are just more complex to analyse. Advanced also looks better on Record of Achievement if that means anything to you. Dont think that if your getting 70s in advanced that u will suddenly get 90's in standard

yeah it is hard to get a band 6 in standard english because of paper one AOS. standard gets marked against advance thats why. and people do advance english so they can do ext 1 or 2 or maybe because they think standard is too easy for their capacity.

They scale the same, but it is extremely almost impossible to get band 6 in standard
