Probably, I know they asked about a specific issue in a couple of the trial papers.

there better not be a specific environmental issue..... or something about exchange rates.... basically, as long as the whole thing is as general as possible :)

but really, a specific thing is going a bit far, and if it isnt in the syllabus then it cant be asked. is there something in the syllabus about salinisation? (goes to check....)

They asked for a specific issue in the Jame Ruse trial.

ok, but do u think that james ruse is really an accurate guide as to what is going to be in the HSC? sure, the HSC exams arent supposed to be as standard as the SC exams, because theyre trying to separate us all out, but i dont think that the james ruse paper would be an accurate reflection of the HSC.

and the syllabus for enviro m'ment says "Students learn about:
• ecologically sustainable development
• private and social costs and benefits — market failure
• public and private goods — free riders
• issues:
– preservation of natural environments
– pollution control
– externalities
– depletion of renewable and non-renewable resources."

and learn to: " -use the tools of economics to analyse a contemporary environmental issue"

so theres a good chance that there will be a question on factories that make cutefluffybunnies and produce mass amounts of smoke and they are fucking up all the soil with their salinisation, fucking bunnies

suggestion about the eco

i doubt there will be an enviromental issue in the extended reponse, as if there expecting everyone to know how to write a essay on the enviroment,

the'll have something:
* on conflicting policies,
*exchange rates,
* something about addressing the CAD,
*and most likely something on globalisation to do with trade, living standards

On the short answer they should have something on govt policies to address ecological sustainability

look, if your stupid enough to think james ruse is the hsc of hsc's...

there is no chance in hell they are going to ask you to talk about environmental issues as an essay... just simply mention it as part of the gov' broader eco objectives

end of story

my previous post is more reliable than anything, my teacher was on the exam committee most recently in 2002, and was one of them people designing the sylabus, also may i mention there was a security risk in 2002 at the board of studies in 2002.... they feared some geek stole the economics exam paper!,
after that my teacher had to write up an economics test 2 days before the exam for economic for the HSC in 2002.

Need i say more, this is reliable

you'll probably have an option between CAD and Exchange rates, or something else

yes, good that some of us have brains

there will however be environment stuff in the short answers and the hardest it gets is if they as you to "discuss how gov addressed env. issues in recent years" so then you can talk about how aus is screwing up the earth by not agreeing to sign the protocol
