Hi I want to come to UTS nexy year to do Environmental Science. I do biology now but i wanted to do bridging courses for cemistry and mathematics (i now do General).

Is it a bad idea to do 2 bridging courses? Anyone know how important they are to the subject? I want to major in environmental bio so i know i won't need too much chem, but yeah...

Any advice is welcome. thanx

I did a bridging course for chem... Essentially you're trying to learn a heap of catch up content in 13 weeks, so don't be mistaken in thinking a bridging course is easy.

But if you have no prior assumed knowledge of chem, I'd really consider it. Same for maths. I did General Maths too, and in hindsite it would have been benficial to do maybe 2U.

That said, when I did a semester of Earth Science there was quite a lot of physics and maths involved for an Earth Systems Processes subject I did ...

So you rekon it will be really hard to do both? would it be worth it though?

It'd be hard, but if you're going to do one over the other, I'd say do chemistry.
Which degree are you looking at?

* Bachelor of Science (Environmental Biology)
* Bachelor of Science (Urban Ecology)
* Bachelor of Science (Environmental Forensics)
* Bachelor of Science (Marine Biology)
* Bachelor of Science - Major in Environmental Sciences

91149 Geological Processes would also involve maths, it looks very similar to the subject I did in first year
