does anyone know wat the equilibrium constant includes and excludes?
i'm really confused.. i was searching around and one place says that equilibrium constants excludes any pure substances (eg. water) but in the esterification process, why does it include water in the equation?

Are you talking about the K=[Products]/[Reactants]?
It includes only aqueous solutions and gases as they have a concentration where as solids don't. I'm not sure about liquids i.e. water though
