Is that English (Standard) or English (Advanced)?

And is that Business Studies, or Business Services?

(I assume Business Studies?)

Forgive me again when I assume English (Standard), since you are doing General Mathematics also.

My (completely random) UAI estimate: "30.00 or less"

I'm not trying to put you down here... but if you're expecting "high 60's or early 70's" then I really doubt you'll receive a UAI in that range.

Just looking at your ranks, they're not great by any means, with Chemistry on 7th. (7th with an assessment mark of 52% surprises me)

Trial marks were mostly fails (I know they were greater than 50%, but I believe English (Standard) and Visual Arts exams and their corresponding marks will be adjusted, resulting in <50% marks - come the HSC and moderation procedures. Note that I'm not talking about your trial marks as a reflection of your HSC marks, but assuming they are "about the same" - then that's what would happen).

The overall (assessment) marks fall in the Band 2's, if not Band 1's after scaling. I assume English will be pushed down into the 50s (with an assessment mark of 64).

So looking at all your rankings and your Band's (mostly 1's and 2's), I would have to say that you'll be very disappointed if you're aiming for 60-70 UAI, with those marks and rankings (that are now locked in/finalised).

- Failed trial exams (IMO)
- Not the best of rankings
- Assessment marks in the Band 1 and 2's, I can't see any subjects being scaled above the Band 2 range.
- Standard English, General Maths, Visual Arts, Business Studies, SOR I

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, and I don't mean to be cruel in any way at all, but I'm just analysing the numbers, looking at the Bands, subjects, ranks and trying to give you an honest answer/response, in my opinion.

Your very type-ative today Huy :)

He wants to know whether or not he can aim for 60-70's.

Either way, with those marks/ranks you really don't have much chance of getting 60's/70's especially with quite poor scaling subjects. :(

I'm always like that Ragerunner ;)

I did answer the question, but in a long-winded way. (Re-read my post? Come on, I know you want to... :p ;))

I'll give you 19/20.

Superb essay, though lacking in literary devices :D

We need a second marker, and if I'm not happy with that, I'll get the head supervisor to have a look at it.

;) :D :D
