I'm in Year 12, doing my Hsc in 2025 and I go to a private grammar school.

My subjects are Business, Legal, economics, maths standar and english advanced.

I'd like to go to University of Newcastle and possibly do a bach of commerce.

Would I be able to gain early entry?? I got majorily B's and C's.

This year i'm doing a lot better though, in my term 1 assessments I got 90% in economics - topped the class, 75% in business studies report - topped the class. Highest mark was 15/20 in the cohort which i received, lowest was 7/20. I got a 70% in my legal HR test.

While not directly connected, you can gain a general idea of your chances of receiving an early offer based on your year 11 results by considering the ATAR/selection rank requirement for the degree. UoN's Bachelor of Commerce requires a selection rank of 65. If we consider this alongside your year 11 results, we can infer that you may have a good chance of receiving an early offer for this degree. Of course, if you can achieve a 65+ ATAR/selection rank, that would be much better since it would essentially guarantee you an offer, albeit through the traditional ATAR path.

On the other hand, your year 11 results may not be high enough to receive an early offer for the same degree at other universities. With that being said, if UoN is your preferred university, you will most likely not need to worry about this aspect.
