currently my rankings are:

English Adv 12/30
English Ext 4/5
English Ext 2 2/3 (by about 1 mark)
General Maths 1/20
Legal 2/8
Chem 5/12
Ancient Hist 4 or 5/7

not so great rankings but the difference between us isn't too much, if i was aiming for about 85 UAI what exam marks do you think i'd be looking at aiming for?

ranks are pretty good.....with those kinds of ranks you should get 85+ pretty easily.
you have 12 unit, so one of your 2 unit subjects wont count, which seems to me thats it ancient history, but im sure if you do well in your assessments (trials makes up a huge chunk of your assessment weighting) and your externals then youre well on your way to a UAI that youll be satisfied with.
youll prob need one o two band 6s, few band 5s and one high band 4 minimum to guarentee you a 85+ UAI
good luck
