i thought i understood the differences between the 3 staffing systems but i was reading another textbook "nelson business studies" and it said that:

geocentric staffing involves staffing overseas subsidiaries with host country personnel - i thought this one employed the best person regardless of nationality.

it also says that polycentric involves the most capaple person for the job regardless of nationality.

now im confused, i think the text book is wrong but could someone tell me which definition is correct

Ethno - Subsidiary Staffed with your own (home) countries personnel
Poly - Subsidiary staffed with the host countries personnel
Geo - Subsidiary staffed with best available personnel regardless of nationality

Thats what Ive been doing all year, so Im with you .. that text book sounds wrong to me
