What should the etiquette be for surveys that are redundant/obsolete?

Should they be deleted; or, allowed to stand for future users?

Does it matter?

The resolution of these questions would be of benefit to the Bored community :).

Unless you can pose some problems the threads staying open would cause, I can see no justification for deleting them.

I can see some sense to closing them (if they have expired), to save people from responding to old surveys.

You could just have them locked rather than deleted even if they have 'expired'. It would be a great help for future reference I imagine.

not to mention solving the problem of thread revival vs new thread...
