It depends. Some lecturers require you to see them about an extension. And extensions may not be granted all the time. You probably will need to get a form - which is probably found at the student centre. But talk with your lecturer or tutor first. They'll be able to guide you on what to do.

Your best bet would be to go to the student centre and ask them for an extension form.
