anyone got any good tips for me that i can apply to advanced english, 2 & 3 unit maths, engineering studies, chemistry and multimedia?
I may be wrong, but are you suggesting we do past papers?SpoRTsGaL said:PAST PAPERS PAST PAPERS PAST PAPERS PAST PAPERS PAST PAPERS PAST PAPERS PAST PAPERS PAST PAPERS PAST PAPERS
This applies to all subjects. For 2 and 3 unit maths, time yourself for each question E.g. for 3unit maths, there are 7 questions, which gives ~17 minutes for each question. Realistically, you don't need to spend that much time on each of questions 1-4. By practice, you should get down to say, about 6 minutes on question 1, a little more on question 2, etc, giving you heaps of time to spend on questions 5, 6 and 7, which are the harder ones.
For advanced English, they say don't have prewritten essays, but if you have prepared essays and you can alter them to suit the question, it'd be great. I did that and I got 84, and I am crap at English. It is important to practice essays on different sorts of questions, and practice writing articles, journals, etc. By the time hsc comes around, you'll be comfortable in writing in different genres. Also, practice the comprehension section and creative writing (emotional crap is pretty good in scoring points). You'll be prepared for English and you won't be stressed, and this is very important for your first exam, and it'll help you relax a little more for the rest of the hsc exam period.
Chemistry: don't count on there being heaps of calculation questions. It's mostly written stuff. Refer to past papers.
In conclusion, do heaps of PAST PAPERS.
