How many words should I try and acheive in a 50-60 minute essay question? Please comment.

of course it is.

my suggestion is try for a comfortable 1200, 1300 at the maximum. this allows for a reasonable writing pace, and not as much strain on your hands when writing. also gives lee way when u have to adapt your essay to the question more so. if ur still not sure, 1200 is a good bet.

for slower writers, aim for 1000 or 1100. quality > quantity ALWAYS.

in a 40 minute response (like the HSC) i usually do about 1100 words so you do the maths with converting it...
