hey i was wondering if anyone could help me.

in excell when i type things like 5 - 9 it changed it automatically to "9th May" i was wondering how i can change it so it makes it say "5 - 9"? i tried changing the format so its numbers but it makes it like a number liike 35556 or something?

Can anyone help?

Highlight the relevant cells.

Hit Ctrl+1.

Change the cell type to "Text".

Excel Problem 2

hey i have a problem i am trying to do a pyramid thing i got it but i need to get one of readinfs to get double in size
as all my values are
like of 5 years e.g. "5 - 9" etc and one of my values is "70-79" so its 10 years i need to make it so its like 2units up instead of 1unit so it is all in equal values? how do i do this on excel?

This is a formal warning, stop spamming with new threads ok

I don't mind you keeping it in other threads, but every time i log on, you seem to have a new thread about some problem of your life. While normally I'd let it go, I find this incredibly annoying to have to try and manage your new threads when they amount to nothing more than common knowledge or something which could've been solved via a PM or through the other thread.

Wasn't this in the first assignment only?

Just do it manually; ie- if you have:

70-79- 350 000 240 000

Take the amount and split it,

75-79- 175 000 120 000
70-74- 175 000 120 000

That is what I did in the last assignment.
