Hey guys, i'm doing an assesment, and i'm...getting nowhere.

I'm not even sure what to write, i need to relate the resurrection back to Jesus' life (his ministry) and his death.

I understand how his life fulfills himself as the messiah, and that it gives meaning to his "death"...but thats where it ends.

Help...i have 6 assesments in 2 weeks. I NEED to get this done.

Thankyou.

Whats the actual question?

Im guessing that your answer will revolve around the idea of prophecy (as foretold in teh OT) + the actions in his life that 'proved' the prophecy

You have answered the basics (very basically!!!) as above...needs to be really fleshed out. Almost point by point from his life bringing it back to prophecy and messiahship (as relating to the resurrection)

All guessing here as it sounds like an awful task.

What does the marking criteria say? (should give you an idea of what to write)

edit...added bits in

Jesus is the embodiment of the reign of God

Jesus is seen as the model for Christian life through his embodiment of the reign of God. The synoptic gospels portray Jesus as emerging from obscurity in Galilee and announcing the inauguration of the reign of God (Mark 1:14-15). This reign of God, often referred to as the Kingdom of God, can be understood in simple terms as the realisation of God's vision or dream for the world. Jesus' preaching of the reign of God points to a future yet already present reality where the values of love, justice and peace prevail in a world living in accordance with God's plan. The reign of God is central to the preaching of Jesus and is at the heart of his life and ministry.

Following his death and resurrection Jesus was recognised as the embodiment of the reign of God and those who seek to bring about the reign of God are encouraged to model their lives on the example of Jesus.

This modeling can be identified according to four significant aspects of Jesus' life and ministry.

Very helpful in fact. Thanks a lot for your help.

I'm beginning to get my act together regarding this assignment. I've already found passages where Jesus prophesizes his ministry, and some other stuff relating to what he taught.

That passage actually helps me in the next part of the assesment, so thanks a lot!

Thanks for your help so far mate, appreciate it. I really do.
