Ok, to help, we need to know the period or society you're doing, otherwise the information/evidence we give you won't be of any help as it may be outside your timeframe.

The NK generally brought about the special type of chariot they used (was foreign invention), the perfecting of metallurgy (particularly with the use of glass which is used in the forming process), the different types of bows that were being used (composite vs standard), etc.

But we really need to know your exact topic :)

rob she is doing hyksos, so i assume NKE till death of Thutmosis IV

the military technology, was when Kamose found hundreds of hyksos ships, and found lots of their military weapon.. which they egyptians later on adopted.
equipment that they adopted from the hyksos.. Bronze weapons, scimitars, horse drawn chariots, war helmets.. *right about now is where my brain stopped* Help.. Pwaryuex..
Do you think it's safe to assume she's doing NKE - Thutmose IV?

Ok, well the Egyptians were rarely fond of adopting foreign technology as they were of adopting foreign land and people.

What they did like, though, was the new weapons brought in from the Hyksos from the north, these comprise of:

- Different chariots to the ones previously used. I believe the difference lies in the attachment to two horses rather than one, and the ability to fit two or three people on it- a driver and 2 archers/soldiers.

- I read somewhere that the Hyksos brought husbandry, that is the training of horses, with them, too. But I can't be too sure...

- Glass in its unprocessed form started at the beginning of the NK, with Egypt previously getting the glasswares. Now they were getting unprocessed globules of glass which was used in some metalurgical process involving bronze / copper / tin. Essentially, the introduction of unprocessed glass improved their metal.

- The k`psh / kopesh had been around since the OK, but they were significantly improved with the above technology, but it seems that they were fazed out as a practical weapon and turned into a kind of sidearm to normal swords and axe things... God I'm being very ambiguous, but I've only formally done this topic briefly.

- Long-range archery as a pre-charge tactic seems to be introduced, with fine copper heads being attached to arrows to allow a volley to weaken the enemy. Erman says that there were no dedicated foot-archers anymore, and that some process of the chariot-archers losing a volley and then charging happened. I think that there were still archers as it seems a tactical disadvantage not to have them, but it's always good to quote one wiser than yourself! :p

I'll have a look tonight, because I'm really going hazy about this period... I don't have any students doing it, so I haven't read up on it in a while.

And it's pretty close to my UAI, I'm sure it's the exception to the rule as you're not going to get fifty-something.
