Ext II Maths Days (1 Viewer)

Hello Everybody

I was just wondering who else has been to any Maths Study days. I found todays one very beneficial.

I was at a day presented by Mark Arnold in Gunellabah, He came up from Sydney to do it. He is very good, continually ripping on text books and teachers and the like while showing interesting methods good examples and yeah. It was just the kind of thing I needed at the moment. Except that we Didn't do mechanics and thats what my test is next week but hey you can't win them all.

Anyway, has anyone else had similiar experiences. If you have the opportunity to attend one of these days I would advise it very much.

I haven't been to one myself to be honest, but thanks for the recommendation, I'll look out for these maths days.

i went to the mark arnold one in coffs harbour, i thought it was good however he did get off track a little. i thought that not going through mechanics was a bad decision, same with volumes, but hey like what was said can win them all.

Good ole Arnold was good for the 4unit one, but went too slow with the 3unit day. Ah well. He was still good but.

Yeah he did get off track a bit, but thats where a lot of the humour was. I swear I was nearly in a fit from all the laughter.

His notes are pretty handy though for some quick short summaries, the conics ones were nice. I should probably scan them in........or not. And some of the questions he had in them were different from what I had been doing aswell, which is good as you learn new methods etc

But yep, even so that day was easily worth it in my opinion, even without the laughs.
