Just wondering, are you allowed to use 4unit methods in 3unit maths questions?
Yeah, why not?Just wondering, are you allowed to use 4unit methods in 3unit maths questions?
I used it before and there were no problems, but this might be dependent on the teacher markingthe only thing you shouldnt use is the method of 4U integration by parts in 3U
You can but like you said probably not a good idea...the only thing you shouldnt use is the method of 4U integration by parts in 3U
The reason that you shouldn't is that there has to be a quicker method if it's in a 3U test i.e. a nice substitution or something.I used it before and there were no problems, but this might be dependent on the teacher marking
this. Integration by parts is usually a last resort, even in 4 unit (unless specified). Usually there is a FAR easier method. The reason that you shouldn't is that there has to be a quicker method if it's in a 3U test i.e. a nice substitution or something.
