yep i agree thats why i asked, i would love to do that but i can't or else i would probably get a 10/25
i've answered questions like this in english and legal studies before basically with the answer i think is right and its usually turned out a lot better than the people trying to shoehorn crap that doesn't make sense into a bad question. when teachers talk about disagreeing with the question, they don't mean disagreeing with the question that is tailored towards a clear obvious answer to prove how smart you are, its usually in the context of the odd question that doesn't have a logical answer in the way its framed.
i would be talking about the mechanisms of compliance and non compliance, being contravention proceedings for parenting proceedings, enforcement proceedings for property and contempt provisions for flagrant challenges to the court's authority, noting that a same-sex relationship has no logical or rational connection to the operation of the provisions outside of making fallacious arguments based in stereotypes. the same applies for resolving conflicts, though arguably you could look for a mediator/conciliator etc. experienced in dealing with same-sex relationships, but i would be walking through the process and explaining exactly why same sex relationships have no bearing on them currently. you would probably make brief comparison to the previous state of the law, where same-sex couples were outside the scope of matrimonial causes such that enforcement was a non-issue because there was nothing to enforce, and dispute resolution is solely informal.
