where have you been all these years, linlin? :D
(not that it's been around for years, but anyway...)

kino is good for browsing. they don't really care if you plonk yourself down in the children's section and read an entire book lol

I buy a fair few at Angus, because they have a good range most of the time, but I always check in Big W, K-mart, Target, etc first because they're cheaper.

The best bookstore I've ever been in, though, is Galaxy opposite the Queen Victoria Building. All sci-fi fantasy. It rocks. :D

Hmm. Best second-hand store I know of is probably Elizabeth's in Newtown, combining a vast range (They have ladders instore to help you navigate the bookshelves. Great fun.) with usually low prices. (For example, I got Stoppard Plays Vol.One from here for $8, when this is listed elsewhere as costing up to $40..).

For new books, Co-Op Bookstore is good, having a wide range of classics, philosophy and history texts.. Having a Membership Card makes it better too. :)

From my experience, Angus & Robertson have a rather limited range, depending on your tastes, and as such aren't particularly great.

Tiny compared to Kino.

Kinokuniya > 1 - Kinokuniya
Where sum bookstores = 1

Its in the Galleries Victoria near the QVB. Its a pretty huge bookstore with alot of Japanese stuff as well.

Also all the girls in it always seem to be pretty hot...

anyway...

Galaxy is great as well:) and thats also near the QVB..any store that exclusively sells horror/fantasy is obviously great!
