ian thorpe's done more for this country than you guys have, so why try and drag the bloke down? whats he ever done wrong apart from swim fast and win medals for australia?

Yes, my life is that much better because one guy who happened to be born in the same landmass as myself happened to be able to utilise a skill which is essentially useless in the real world better than seven other guys over a length of 400m.
