The paths I have taken and the courses I am doing might seem unusual but here goes:
I finished school back in 2009 and got a really bad ATAR due to my choice of high scaling subjects and insufficient performance in them. It was just enough to land me a spot in the Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication) at UWS. Personally, design (particularly photography) is something more of a hobby to me - I wouldn't pursue a career in it. The course was alright but it was too far so I transferred into something I wanted to do more.
At the moment, I'm doing the B Arts/B Business and Commerce (since last year). I'm majoring in Psychology for Arts and Marketing for Business and Commerce. I'm still indecisive in whether to pursue a career in marketing, psychology (with further study) or go into teaching (with further study), once I finish.
I've just started on the Psychology major this semester and it isn't exactly what I expected. I am already struggling with it (Perception unit). I'm not a maths person either so I don't know how I'll go down the track with the Business/Commerce degree, although I have passed all of the units so far.
I'm looking at UNSW's B Arts/B Education degree which is quite appealing to me but I don't know if I'll be wasting too much time and money if I were to transfer into it now. I have wasted a lot of time already - most of my peers and friends will be graduating soon and I'm not even halfway through mine.
Don't know what to do anymore - whether to continue on and see where it takes me or transfer to UNSW and do teaching.
