Females in Civil and Mining engineering (1 Viewer)

Hi there unsw students, I just want to know how females rate against males in getting a job once they finish the degree. From relatives, if female engineers go to US, companies do not employ them, they prefer males.
Ive noticed there is much promotion about attracting females in engineering courses especially civil, but do they really get equal respect sweating through the course and on field?

Opinions greatly appreciated.

i'm working at a mine site at the moment, and there aren't many females there but they're respected as much as the men are there.

also, apparently, more women are being hired on the field in mining, because they treat the equipment much more nicely than men, and so repairs are minimal
