Does anyone know or have heard of someone who got financial assistance from Centrelink (or anywhere else) because they chose to go to a uni in another state?

centrelink is australia wide, so I think you should only still get the usual Youth Allowance...but probably more since u are independant of parents

If you qualify for Youth Allowance, you will receive the "away from home" rate. However, you will not be considered financially independent simply because you live interstate.
