hey people, well ive decided that i want to start gym, however i dont know if i should join fitness first in my area or join the UTS gym. Is the UTS gym any good?

id probably be at uni 4 days a week, so i thought that i might join the uts gym and go to gym after uni each day and then head home, or either just go to my local gym after uni. however ive seen the atmospohere at my local fitness first and its rather packed and very loud.

i dont know, fitness first is pretty expensive.

what do u suggest i do? i want maximum output from my work-outs, which gym would be sufficient for that?

thanks for any help

UTS has everything you need equipment-wise. (And some things Fitness First doesn't).

Also,
- Less people... Depending on time. But, generally speaking, even in peak - less people.
- Vastly cheaper.
- Closer (not to home, but Uni. Your 'second home').
- I know the trainers (well, at least 1) there are competant.
- Speaking of trainers; if you want one, they are cheaper too.
- UTS isn't Satan (FF).
- No Joining fee! And you can also join for 3 month periods (your semester) and in your breaks, if useful to you, go to a local gym.

What Fitness First had for positives:
- 'Globo Gym'. You can train at multiple locations. But, now that i think of it, there arn't any locations really around UTS (because business there goes to UTS gym. Because it is so cheap). This point is only useful if you live, work, study all in different locations, etc.

Also, if you are so inclined to have this for your gym experience, which gym do you think will have more young hot girls to look at? Maybe... just maybe... a University?

the UTS gym is pretty good and very cheap with everything that you will need. Got a vast cardio room and 2 levels of weights. Was quite surprised by how good it was, and i heard it was ranked top 5 gyms in NSW or something
