is your loop more of a square or an actualy loop in the magnetic field.

the square in a magnetic field, the two sides parallel to the magnetic field would experience no force, while the other two wised would experience a force upwards or downwards depending on the direction of current flow in the loop (right hand palm rule).

Just think of the result of a motor. What happens when you apply a current through it? It experiences a torque, and hence turns. This is what this dot point relates to.
