Hey guys, ive got my Question 3 (physical journeys) generic essay all nice and memorised for tomorrow, just want to make sure ive covered everything and have not accidently forgotten something.

In my essay i talk about:
- Barriers that lead to change
- landscapes as metaphors
- epiphinal moments
- the reflective nature of journeys
- the ends/continuation of journeys
- the circumulatory nature of journeys
- the ambivilance of journeys
- the unexpected nature of journeys
- How journeys contain detours

Have i forgotten anything obvious? cheers and goodluck!

Perhaps how the journey affects others (within the text as well as how a reader is affected)? Firsthand/secondhand experiences of journeys, vicarious experiences, imagery or close-up or shaky cam angles allow you to position yourself in the prot's position. Dunno what else, I'm a little shaky on this bit too.

I dunno, I've got a fairly simple layout, just
-obstacles (in which I can include: they may be unwanted, unexepected, unavoidable, force a traveller to immediately reevalute circumstances, and force a period of reflection etc. etc.)
-reflection/journey process (allows traveller to overcome obstacles, etc.)
-change (as a result of overcoming ostacles, etc.)

So I'm not necessarily addressing EVERYTHING possible in a journey, but everything I've got can be adapted to anything they choose to specify. I think thats better than putting everything in your essay, because then if they ask you to focus on one area you're gonna have a lot of irrelevant stuff. If you're not doing this then nevermind.

fair enough, everyone has different methods. I have actually made my essay way too long so that i can take out the topics that are not relevant to the question. So it will end up being similar to you'r set up in the exam depending in the question
