they have a single out at the moment, "take me out" its fucking catchy.

Heard their single on the radio this morning. It is indeed catchy, although I haven't heard anything else.

They deserve props for the band-name too.

there arent enough references to prewar european royalty in todays popular music scene

i cant beleive how catchy the single is.
"darts of pleasure" is also rather catchy

franz ferdinand are excellent!
i've got a few mp3s now
top tracks are obv. take me out, darts of pleasure and shopping for blood.

the funniest song if 'all for you, sophia'. it's about the real franz and his wife, or princess or whatever sophia (anyone remember those details??). the chorus is like 'bang bang, get em gavrillo princip!'

funny shite. i need to decipher the lyrics properly

but yeah, i love this band now. i can't wait until the album comes out here

Yeah Franz Ferdinand are awesome. I first heard of them mid last year while reading NME and they were likened to the new york band Interpol and i instantly new that they were going to be good.

Darts of pleasure is a great song, and so is Take me Out.

If you like Franz Ferdinand then you MUST listen to Interpol!!!

fuck yes i love interpol!

obstacle 1 is so great. such a great mood and atmosphere. the vocalist has a distinct voice, methinks the joy division comparison is overstated (although i wouldn't mind. joy division are also a superb band)
i hope they bring out another album this year.
