Has anybody done the prac called "Galvanic Cells 1" (from Chemisrty Contexts HSC) where you use copper and zinc electrodes connected to a voltmeter, placed in a beaker of solutions of:
- Deionized Water
-1 mole/L NaCl
-1 mole/L Sulfuric acid

You have to measure the voltage produced by the redox reactions and when we did it, we were given wrong electrodes (graphite instead of zinc), so we were unable to get some decent results.

If someone's done this prac successfully, could they plz post their results. Much appreciated.

why don't you request the experiment to be done again? 1st hand results are to be obtained in a first hand fashion.

The teacher said we can't do it again, not enough time. He says it's a "shit" prac. I'll do the equations and work out the voltages theoretically.
