Greetings,

Recently I have re-installed Windows XP pro, and have noticed what seems to be 'Generic Host Process for Win32 Services' hogging quite some bit of internet usage. I know this program is required for Windows to run properly, but it is becoming a worry. When I in person am not downloading (of course that includes msn, browsing, etc), my NetMeter shows that data is been downloaded to my computer at intervals of roughly every second. The upload rate in these activities are around only 0.2 KB/s - so I don't really think any zombie executables are responsible for any kind of privacy invasion (correct me if I'm wrong).

This is certainly affecting my browsing speed (as I use a 64KBps) and is driving me up the wall. Any solution, idea, or simply discussion for this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

have you run windows update? get your windows up to date and it should help if it is the problem. Or, download spyware doctor or ad-aware and run a scan, to check if the process has been hijacked, or is being used by a spyware/malware program. if you can't run windows updates because of WGA stuffing up even if you have a legit key, PM me for some info...

Disabled automatic updates too, it's getting so annoying...
