I know that there are buses from Eddy Avenue to UNSW. Is Eddy Avenue far from QVB? or is there a bus going to unsw from near QVB? thanks

As has been said:
Go to Elizabeth street alongside Hyde park and catch a 39x bus, which will drop you on Anzac Parade in front of the university, or catch a 37x bus which will take you up to Randwick (which leaves you with a shorter, downhill walk if you are heading to upper campus).
Summary: Any 37x or 39x
