ok, ive just been reading up on the course I want to transfer into, and it said that honours will be offered to students who achieve a GPA of 5.5(or higher)/7 over their first 3 years
whats a 5.5 convert back to?

I think 3 is a conceded pass, 4 is pass, 5 credit, 6 distinction, 7 HD, or it could be something else.

A GPA of 7 equates to a UAI of 99.5. A GPA of 4 equates to 83.

I am preety sure that pass is a 2, 2.5 is 2pass 2 credit, and 3 al credits

Macquarie and some other institutions use different systems; the seven-point scale is the one used by the UAC.

A GPA of 7 is equivalent to a UAI of 99.xx, if i remember correctly from the pdf containing the conversions that was posted a while ago.

It will, just use the formula from that PDF to convert MQ marks to the seven-point scale
