have any of you guys bought this? i think i came out in stores last monday. For those who don't know, this edition comprises of the original album digitally remastered, a second cd with rare and a couple of unreleased tracks, and a dvd with film clips/interviews etc. For someone like me who has heard the album about a trillion times over, you think its worth it?

If you are a massive fan of his music then I would say yes. I didn't know about it, but I will definitely look at it. How much is it? Isn't the normal album digital anyway, I mean, it is on a CD:confused:.

I want the Grace EPs but I can't afford them. They're on my Xmas list now.

The way glitch is rising in popularity, I wouldn't be surprised if something like that surfaces to be honest.

And I wouldn't shell out of it, even though its digitally remastered, its not the big of a deal.. but if you desperately want the unreleased songs and the candy of the second disc, then buying it would be a must.

yeah i guess thats one of the downsides of becoming famous after you're dead. JB wasn't even that popular before he died, and since then there was a whole sub-industry that sprung up out of nowhere which released anything and everything that he recorded

...but i'd still buy it

there have been a few cds put out by his mum since his death. its all a money making wank really. i mean i adore the music but i doubt he would have wanted to become a product of comercialism

i bought sketches before i knew it was a posthumous release...one of jeff's mates says in the liner notes that JB hated the romance surrounding musicians who die young and "mocked it every chance he got". so much as i want to hear everything he recorded, i'm reluctant to buy into the "jeff is dead isn't it sad now let's sell as much of his music as we can because he can't make it any more" thing.

the prob i have with the grace rerelease is that the record company knows perfectly well that anyone who calls themselves a jeff fan would have grace already (especially as it sells for about $15 in 1 out of every 2 cd stores) and it's these fans they're marketing the rerelease to. so basically they're trying to get us to buy something we have already. i want the extra stuff but i don't want to have to buy the whole album again when they could have just released the extra stuff by itself.
