Grading System used in Maths Extension 1 (1 Viewer)

Can someone fill me in on the marking grade system of the HSC?

I have heard of terms such as: 'Band 1 through to Band 7', 'state rank', 'E7 (from memory)?' been tossed around. I did not do HSC but am looking to become a future teacher, if someone could fill me in on this it would be helpful.

Where marks out of 50 are seeded as:
E4 - 45-50
E3 - 35-49
E2 - 25-39
E1 - 0-24

State rank is just that. Your position in the ENTIRE STATE.
