When graphing the function

2 . root (25-x^2)

what effect does the 2 have?

if you'll be kind enough to give me a sketch i would appreciate it, but advice is just fine too.

That is an upper semi circle with a radius of 5. (Original graph)

The "2" stretches it vertically by a factor of 2. So the graph's is 10 units up and a 5 units to the left and right.

Sorry if I cannot explain it well enough. Just draw the original graph, and take the point (0,5) and transform it to (0,10). (stretched by a factor of 2)

Half of it since it is focused on the positive side.

Lol so Existential has been unwittingly trying to plot a graph that was designed for a 4U course?
Cause ellipses are a part of conics.

Well, this is graph transformations, from a given graph.
