Hey,
I need help with drawing a graph from its derivative graph. Or drawing a derivative graph from a normal graph. When we were doing this in class my friend and i couldn't do it so the teacher told us to move on and we'd go back and look at it later but we never did.
Anyone got some general rules to follow.
I'm stressing coz i kinda need to know this for the hsc.
Thanks heaps..

1. Sketching dy/dx given y = f(x)
-Stationary points of f(x) are points where dy/dx = 0 (cuts the x-axis)
-When f(x) is increasing, dy/dx will be positive (above x-axis) and vice-versa

2. Sketching f(x) given dy/dx
-Zeros of dy/dx will be stationary points of f(x)
-When dy/dx is +ve, f(x) is increasing and vice-versa
