Can anyone explain how to do these types of graphs?

$y=f(\frac{1}{x})$
is done by finding the y coordinates of $x=\pm 1$ and plotting them on your new graph.
$x\to \infty, \frac{1}{x} \to 0\\x\to 0, \frac{1}{x} \to \infty$ - plot a few points using this along your graph and it should appear. It's kind of a reflection in $x=\pm1$ but not really. Also x=0 is undefined.

$y=f(x^2)$
is even! Same on LHS and RHS. The points at $x=\pm 1$ is the ordinate at x=1. Just plot a few points again.
