Hey guys,
This really isn't in the right place, but if i put it where its mean to be no one would ever reply. I'm doing doing a greek assessment and im a bit stuck on something, maybe people with some good knowledge of english grammar could help me out.
In this sentence
[FONT="]"The Scythians, on picking up the bodies and learning they were (the bodies of) women, wondered"
I'm trying to figure out what the words in red (participles, kinda like adjectival verbs) are agreeing with ie what noun they are describing. Is 'picking up' describing 'the bodies' or is it describing 'the Scythians'?
