I love it how Cambridge's so close behind Oxford, when Cambridge, really, isn't a humanities university, and Oxford is.

Secondly, that list puts La Trobe up really high. No offense to that establishment, but they offer very limited course choices.

if we skip the unis that are owned from stinky america and from china (who prob whip their students if they dont rate themselves high).. we are the very peak of the unis, baby! grooovy.
There's only one Chinese university on that entire list...

Maybe it's bad to assume that because it has the word "Technology" in its name, it would be a science orientated university.

It's also funny, how I haven't done a single Humanities subject (yet).
I don't follow you.

It appears your following my comment about the Oxbridge science/humanities things.

It's very common knowledge that Oxford is far more humanities-origined. Look at all the famous politicians that come from there. From memory, every tertiary-educated Prime Minister of GB has come from there, bar 3 of them which came from Cambridge.

Cambridge, however, has produced far more eminant scientists- I think the only Oxonian who has headed the Newtonian chair has been Stephen Hawking (which, coincidentally ended up doing most of his studies at Cambridge after he matriculated.) Ooh, also, Hawking was the only Oxonian who headed the Fellowship of the Royal Society in a Scientist capacity. All the other chairs have been Cambridgians.

It's not funny or weird that UTS has the word 'Technology' in it anymore than the fact that TAFE has the word 'Technical' in it. As you would note, 'Technical' and 'Technology' are words that are used in this context similar to 'Public College'.

It actually is interesting to note that the Oxbridge rivaly envolves each of the unis' students calling each other 'Northern Technical' (or something similar); the inference being that they suck and go to a TAFE-like university.

Hence UTS, a once public college being 'Technology', and TAFE, a still public university being Technical. Despite UTS now being totally private, it still retains its once-public name.

Any more questions?

no more questions (for now). that was informative.
I'm glad.

It's probably half plagiarised of wikipedia. Man, I could sit on that website for hours and just read.

Back to the essay!
