It seems to me that EVERYONE is having a hell of a time finding a historical event which can be used to portray historiography and historographical debate.

Perhaps an excellent method to overwhelm this is open to many of us, but unavailable to many more.

Anyone have Austar or Foxtel?

I do. You get a guide every month, yes?? Well there's your problem solved. On page 150 of Austar guide (it might change from month to month) there is a listing of all prime-time history documentorys.

This has two uses:
  • to find a topic
  • to find sources for your topic
go through the month's viewing and find yourself a number of programs you want to watch, and watch them. if they interest you, write them down.

The History Channel is limited! However, often you will find one off programs which may aid people who have already decided on their topic. Some may find massive amounts of information from this channel...

Hope this helps some people.

Books can help too :) lol, but who wants to read?!?

I already know my topic and know where all the information I need for it is... now it's just a matter of getting through it and writing an essay!
