hey all . can n e one plz help me. i need to know the transmutations that occur from the isotope cobalt -60 with reference to the use of cobalt -60 in metal radiography. n e equasions would be really helpful. thanx

beta and gamma decay, used mainly as a gamma source. more gamma radiation will b collected y counter at stress or faulty pts in metal (esp. at cracks), hence used to check metals.

also used as a general gamma source in many other applications, eg. sterilisation
