How many paragraphs are required in the essays per text.

I usually use 4 per essay (2 for given text, 2 for related text). Is this enough of paragraphs for the essay.

I usually do 4 paragraphs. Write one paragraph on an idea/theme with the given text and then write another with the same idea/theme with the related text. Then do it both again with another idea/theme and same texts.

Yes, this is feasible too.

Depends how many supplementary texts the question asks for.

I personally have 2 supplementary texts and so I structure my essay as follows (thematically but also by text)
Prescribed Text 1, on Theme 1
Supplementary Text 1, Theme 1

Prescribed Text 1, Theme 2
Supplementary Text 1 OR 2, Theme 2

Prescribed Text 1, Theme 3
Supplementary Text 2, Theme 3

If that makes sense
