A preamble is a legal term that has no place in this subject!! Having said that, it really is just an overview of the what and why of your document (ISP) ie a preliminary statement to a formal document that serves to explain its purpose.... (dictionary.com)
from http://www.civil-liberties.com/commonlaw/common2.html
A preamble is typically viewed as an introductory statement of a formal document. A preamble also sets up the atmosphere of the document, usually giving an outline, or objectives to be covered in the document. Preambles will identify who is addressing, and who is being addressed. Without a clear understanding of a preamble the meaning of the remainder of the document can be lost in a fog of misunderstanding. In short, a preamble is a guide through the document that follows.
Really, its just a summary so there is really no set form to a preamble. Just start of "The aim of my ISP is......" or something similar. Im guessing its has to be about 1/2 page if that??
