hey.
i was just wondering if you know where i can get helpful tutorial from.
im doing 2u maths, adv english, modern history, biology, chemistry and economics.
My mum suggested Pre-uni.
what are your thoughts??

The tutoring institutes tend to have their own way of doing things like a school of martial art. At least that's what they try to tell customers to think they could "unfairly" push the interest of the customer over the rest. This is particularly true about their trial exams where they hint they have secrets to success.

But most of the time they only hire teachers and university students to do the work. So it's luck that you get a good tutor/teacher. There are some places where the owner is actually the lead teacher (probably in only one subject). In this way the owner will really try hard to enforce certain standards and methods which may be better and more consistent.

Former students fresh out HSC can be good tutors. But don't expect that they have experience. But they are fresh and up to date on what is expected. But don't expect them to be teachers, just plain tutors.
