i m a year 11 student now and i have a physic assessment which is a open ended investigation.

this assessment is on the topic of moving about which is motion i have to pick a problem and procedure, hypothesis.

i thought of a experiment which have a hypothesis that gravity is the only acceleration acting on the ball free falling from any height

this is the only experiment i can thourght of but i dont think it is the best experiment for the assessment

can anyone give some advise and recommendation....thx

It is hard to prove because you can't rule out the possibility of another force acting downwards in addition to gravity, and human timers aren't that accurate.

Basically what you would be looking for is a net acceleration difference in large heights compared to small heights due to air resistance which changes according to the velocity. As to how to do that, well Im not going to do your assignment for you.
