Hey people i got a new question on raw...
the novel was intially written in first person and then was changed to a third person narrative. Why do you think that Scoot Monk was encouraged to make this change? was it a change for the better?

Hey people... well i have an reading, speaking, viewing/representing assessment on RAW and its asked me these question about the book raw

*explore the new experinces and challenges to the knowledge, attitudes and beliefs of the main characters also i need to consider what happens in each text and the techniques used by composer to convey meaning.

it would b great if someone could help me out with this one Plz :D
In the book the main characters all have their own view of the world, based on their own personal experiences, education, upbringing, etc. This can be expressed mot concisely by saying that the characters all have different sets of social values, and that those values reflect each character's backgrounds.

Throughout the story, the character's social values are challenged by their experiences in the book. The question is asking you to discuss exactly HOW their values are challenged by their experiences throughout the story.

So what you need to do in your response is to choose the characters you want to talk about, define the social values (beliefs, knowledge, call it what you will) they have when they first enter the story, explain the techniques the author uses to demonstrate those beliefs, and then discuss how their values are challenged or changed throughout the course of the story.

I hope that helps you understand the question.

Hey,
Can someone help me with this question.

Write a feature article for inclusion in a literary magazine aimed at first year iniversity students entitled Protest and Compliance. In your feature article, highligh how features of your prescribed text (RAW) reveal individual attitudes to institutions.
Refer to the experience of at least three characters featured in your prescribed text.

(How does scott monk use techniques to reveal individual attitudes to institutions)

Please email response to roosters_1988@hotmail.com
ANY HELP IS GREAT!
Thank you
